When he decided to create the world’s finest designer furnishings, Christopher started with a clear objective – to make uniquely beautiful decorative furnishings to appeal to an international audience. Born in Britain, raised in Spain and France, and now living in Singapore, Christopher’s international background helps him view the world through a critically constructive eye that draws on everything he admires. Setting about fulfilling his dream, he was aware that most furnishings had for decades been defined by their national identities; he understands that elegance, sophistication and grace have always transcended cultural boundaries, and has succeeded in transferring these qualities into the creation of distinct and instantly recognizable, yet internationally admired decorative furnishings.
A singular vision and uncompromising sense of style have driven Christopher Guy Harrison to continually re-define the aesthetics of design, resulting in new design concepts which fit equally well in contemporary and classic environments and which cannot be found anywhere else. He is not merely designing decorative furnishings and accessories; he seeks to create a lifestyle not easily classified within the confines of today’s design vocabulary.
Although his designs embrace all eras and reflect the cosmopolitan quality of his lifestyle, at his core Christopher is a Modernist. He believes that the finest and most enduring designs tend to be simple and that French furniture designers of the thirties and forties understood this. This Modernist sensibility is infused with a highly graphic quality, a mastery of materials and a restrained elegance.
It is hard to ignore the similarities between fashion and interior design, in which the designer, driving force and creator of the line becomes its publicimage. And so it was a logical step forward when, in 2006, the decision was taken to bring the original mirror line and the new furnishings ranges under one umbrella brand, with Christopher Guy Harrison himself providing the new company name. This watershed in the history of the company has led to the creation of the Christopher Guy world of fabulous furnishings and the start of a brand new future.

The company started life in 1993, under the name of Harrison & Gil, as purveyors of the world’s premier mirror frame collection. Following this line’s phenomenal success, the core philosophy of creating beautiful, original mirror designs was carried through to a growing range of luxury furnishings and accessories collections.
From these strong foundations and as the company evolved to include comprehensive lifestyle lines, the natural progression was towards the creation of a distinct company image to encompass the full breadth of the collections, and the Christopher Guy brand was born.
Each Christopher Guy silhouette displays meticulous design, exquisite detailing and authentic craftsmanship, while reflecting the contrast of diverse influences.The essential Neo-classical qualities of clarity, finesse and reserve are ever-present, as too are the opulent expressions of a century and a half of French cabinet making. The symmetry of the Baroque style, the balance and masterful sense of calculation of the Rococo and the measured coolness of Greek and Roman design all form part of the Christopher Guy lexicon, each inspiration drawn together with the original design elements and unique twists that set the company apart.
Christopher Guy designs grace fine residences all over the world, and are favourites with hospitality designers around the globe. From the Savoy and the Grosvenor House hotels in London to The Bellagio and The Venetian in Las Vegas, to numerous Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Marriot and Hyatt properties, Christopher Guy’s unique pieces take pride of place in historic entrance halls and lobbies, grand lounges and design-led suites.
The collections have also been sought out for the sets of a string of Hollywood productions, the most recent being Stardust, Sleuth, Room 1408, Ocean’s 13 and Casino Royale.
